Unfortunately, due to the damage caused by recent back-to-back destructive storms, this walkway has been closed to the public. We hope that, when repaired, this shoreline pathway that meanders along the edge of the Southern Maine Community College campus will open again and restore physical, mental, and emotional energy. In the meantime, we invite you to engage with the intentions of the prompts, as they can still be applied most everywhere.
At five separate stopping points, or stations, participants are invited to pause, take a moment to become present and reflect on life’s challenges and successes. The intention is to reduce stress and promote a better quality of life through self-care activities supported by the natural beauty of Casco Bay.

Each station can be identified by a sign with the Cultivating Health and Wellness logo and a QR code. All signs are attached to the fence that follows the walkway. A prompt, specific to each station, can be accessed by scanning the QR code on the sign with a cellphone.

There are three prompt choices for each station. Participants can choose a sensory experience, a reflective experience, and the option to read a relevant poem.
